June 29 was my birthday and I got so much birthday love from eiffel! I’m officially 21!
Just kidding, I’m 21, plus a few… Guess how old I am now! I’ll send an eiffel card to the person who gets it right!
Birthdays, Christmas and other holidays are always hard when you’re an expat living overseas. Sure, there are great aspects living the expat life! From meeting new people, immersing yourself in a new culture, learning a new language, discovering new food, and well, the list goes on! But there’s a flip side to being an expat too. On special occasions you just want to be surrounded by family and friends, your favourite people. Sometimes the time difference makes it hard to video chat so how can you let them know you’re thinking of them. Or vice versa, how can they let them know you’re on their mind on your special day? Of course, you make new friends from so many different cultures when you live overseas, but then how many people remain an expat? The truth is, sooner or later, most of them leave. It’s just the nature of being an expat.
The good news is, eiffel lets you keep in touch with friends and family all over the world! Currently, you can send something special to The USA, Canada, Australia, New Zealand and the UK, and the list is constantly growing!
eiffel has so many features, but one of the best ones is the birthday and special occasion reminder! Not only will you get an email from eiffel informing you of upcoming birthdays or anniversaries but you can also see who’s special day is coming up on your eiffel dashboard! Talk about convenient!
eiffel also allows you to send a card to arrive on a specific date, no more worrying that your card might not reach its destination in time!*
Did you guess how old I am now? My birthday was on a Thursday I had the best day. The 29th was filled with birthday love from eiffel! I went to the gym in the morning and had a special birthday breakfast waiting for me when I got back, with an eiffel card and a present from my favourite Aussie plus a stack of eiffel cards from friends! At work all the birthday love came flooding in. I got taken out to lunch with my work crew and was serenaded with Happy Birthday and two cakes! Friends dropped by throughout the day to shower me in love and good vibes and it could not have been a better day!
I wasn’t around family or friends I’d grown up with but they still thought of me and sent me birthday love from eiffel. I’m sure in my brother’s case, he made us of the birthday reminder! :p
When’s your birthday? Send birthday love from eiffel to your mom, dad, brothers, sisters, relatives, friends, boyfriends, girlfriends, husbands, wives, sons, daughters and grandparents. (It’s almost a week later but I’m still riding the birthday high!)
Love,
Yuko
